Perennially masked rapper, DOOM, re-emerges from the underground with the latest in a near decade-long string of collaborative records, this time partnering with NYC based producer, Jneiro Jarel. The clip is directed by skateboard shooter Ninian Doff through a partnership with Rizlab, the creative branch of the rolling paper company (welcome to the future!).
DOOM has been absent from his own videos since 2004’s landmark Madvillainy LP, but with “Guv’nor”fans are treated to two and a half minutes of telepresence with an asymmetrical image of the enigmatic MC while he amuses himself in an abandoned warehouse space, just the type of spot you’d expect to find this most beloved evildoer.
JJ DOOM’s debut, Keys to the Kuffs, was released on August 21, 2012.
